Orange Business Chamber launches 2016 Orange Ex-Services’ Club Banjo Business Awards

The Orange Business Chamber launched the 2016 Orange Ex-Services’ Club Banjo Business Awards, at the Orange Ex-Services’ Club on Wednesday 24 August.

Now in its 27th year, the Orange Ex-Services’ Club Banjo Business Awards continue to recognise and reward excellence in business in the Orange region.

This year however the format of the Awards program has undergone several significant changes, encouraging Orange businesses to celebrate their achievements and promote the values of their business.

“Previously, the Banjo Business Awards primarily focussed on rewarding businesses for excelling within their industries,” explained Orange Business Chamber President, Mark Madigan

“The Orange Business Chamber has reviewed the Business Awards program this year, reducing the number of Award categories and changing the focus of the Awards to champion the values of business, through an online submission only process.”

“The new process enables a business to nominate its self or an employee by simply explaining, in less than 120 words, why they would like to nominate for a specific Award category,” explained Mark.

“All nominations will be submitted to an independent, external judging panel to determine the finalists. Finalists for each category will then be required to complete a slightly more in depth online written submission, which will be resubmitted to the independent, external judging panel to establish the winners.”

Nominations are open to all businesses in the Orange region via the Orange Business Chamber’s website – www.orangechamber.com.au .

Nominations for 2016 Orange Ex-Services’ Club Banjo Business Awards are free for Orange Business Chamber Members. Non-member businesses are eligible to nominate, however a $75 administration fee per nomination will be applied.

“At the Chamber we have decided it is imperative to celebrate all finalists, by acknowledging their achievement at the Gala Dinner in February. Each finalist will be presented on stage with their certificate, with the category winner also announced at that time,” said Mr Madigan.
